SHIMMY is encased in an industrial strength aluminum housing unit with translucent acrylic to keep particulates away from the print and provide a direct line of perspective to the printbed.
Frequently Asked Questions
Can I buy a machine?
At present, we are selling SHIMMY to customers who are interested in printing multi-polymer resins at low volumes. Foxtrot is still in the midst of development with the goal of releasing a machine when it is ready. Stay tuned for more.
What can I print with SHIMMY?
Printing two polymers is a great first step for anyone interested in making prints with multiple colors, material properties and even circuits!
Can we make parts at mass production?
Not really possible. We want to get these 3D Printers into the industry, academia and the occasional mad scientist to help them develop new and exciting applications for mixed material devices. We recognize that making an innovative solution with additive manufacturing is often handicapped from the start, as it is hard to scale.
Can we use our own resins?
Yes! Our products are designed to work with any photopolymer resin that is sensitive to the 405nm wavelength.
